SBA Fall Feels 2025
Here at Stitched By Alexis, I love sharing the little things that spark joy and inspiration each season because honestly, we all need more happy sparks. Lately I’ve been gathering a mix of ideas, some quilting or sewing related, some that I’ve spotted or bought and some I’m dying to try just to help bring the season more alive.
My hope? That you’ll find these projects just as fun and rewarding and maybe even get inspired to dive into a few yourself. And don’t worry, there’s more seasonal goodness coming your way throughout the year because let’s be real, I’ll always find another project I have to do. HA!
Ruffles + gingham are a soft spot for me and this tutorial by Makyla Creates is just the content I needed to make a few cushions for around the home.
#2: Tilda World Maple Leaf Pillow Pattern (FREE)
It’s no secret that 2025 is all about Tilda for me. When I discovered the Merry Little Christmas collection I went on a deep dive of all things Tilda include several free patterns they offer on their website. Check out the next few ideas that I found for the fall season.
#3: Tildas World Maple Leaf Quilt Pattern (FREE)
Last year I had the idea to make a bowl cozy or two and with a rapidly growing pile of scraps, I can’t wait to make that come alive in 2025. I’m big on winter soups because I can get a lot of nutrition in, make a big batch, freeze and defrost single servings as needed. Make sure you check out my new freeze storage item below which is great for soups.
#6: Bow Tutorial
Are you a wreath person? I am! And with our brand new front doors I need to make our wreaths some pretty gingham bows to go on them and this tutorial is perfect.
#7: Archie Quilt
This pattern is by my beautiful and amazing friend, Jennifer of Penelope Handemade. The quilt maker is the talanted Jess Rash. Archie quilt is a modern twist on traditional quilt pattern and wonderfully paired with fall feeling fabric choice (likely Kona, unk color).
Need a wreath idea? How about one made with flannel plaid scraps?! When I saw this idea from Reinvented Delaware I thought it was brilliant.
#9: Reverse Applique Pumpkin Sweatshirt
I’m not ready to be done wit reverse applique and this pumpkin version is the chefs kiss. This artist upcycled a thrifted sweatshirt and created a template to make the pumpkin design.
#10: Gilmore Girls Tone on Tone Embroidered Sweatshirt
Oh yes, it’s Gilmore Girls season! And what better way to kick off the cooling temperatures with a beautiful and sweatshirt from Modern Peony.
#11: Soup Freezer Storage
If you’re anything like me, I’m saving all the soup recipes and look for ways to save, freeze and reheat in this busy season. These silicon meal prep containers are about to make my 12 hours day full of nutrition and the fuel I need for the busy days and weeks ahead.
#12: Autumn Gatherings Flannel Cloud by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Fabrics
I recently received a quilt for longarm quilting and this fabric was the selected backing. Oh. My. Word! This fabric is sooooooo soft! I told the client, “I’m going to need a bolt!” She laughed. But seriously, it’s the perfect lightweight double brushed flannel perfect for all genders and quilts.
#13: Trader Joes Cinnamon Broom
Need a little spice to your home? :P Cinnamon brooms are something I buy for our home seasonally and it gives that wonderful aroma to get your fall vibes, vibing.
Thank you for coming along for the fall feels tour! I hope that your season if full of all the warm fuzzy things and your bellies are full of good hearty food. Speaking of bellies, don’t forget about my pumpkin bread and strusel topping recipe. I’m on batch 3 in 3 weeks. Shh!
Cheers!
